Start your journey from Amritsar in the morning and drive towards Dharamshala. The route is scenic with gradual elevation into the hills and views of the Dhauladhar range as you approach. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can explore the local market area or enjoy a peaceful walk in McLeod Ganj. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Dharamshala and nearby attractions. Visit McLeod Ganj, home of the Dalai Lama, and explore Namgyal Monastery and Tsuglagkhang Complex. Later, head to Bhagsu Nag Temple and Bhagsu Waterfall for a short hike and scenic views. You can also visit Dal Lake and Naddi View Point for panoramic views of the mountains. After breakfast, drive towards Bir Billing, known as the paragliding capital of India. The drive is short but beautiful, passing through tea gardens and small villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or homestay in Bir. Spend the afternoon exploring the peaceful village, visiting monasteries like Chokling Monastery, or relaxing in cafés. Overnight stay in Bir.
This day is dedicated to adventure and relaxation in Bir. You can opt for paragliding from Billing (weather permitting), which offers breathtaking aerial views of the valley. Alternatively, explore nearby monasteries, take nature walks, or rent a bicycle to explore the countryside. Bir is also known for its laid-back vibe, so you can spend time café hopping or enjoying sunset views. Overnight stay in Bir.
After breakfast, start your return journey to Amritsar. The drive descends from the hills back into the plains, offering a mix of scenic and smooth highway stretches. Reach Amritsar by evening, concluding your relaxing and adventurous Himachal getaway.
